WebExplorer Organizer Version 1.0b May 18, 1996
Welcome to ONG SoftWare's WebExplorer Organizer V1.0b.
What is WebExplorer Organizer for OS/2(WebXOrg for short)? Have you
ever wanted a way to organize that growing list of Quicklist entries
for WebExplorer? If so then WebXOrg is for you. WebXOrg gives you
an easy to use interface to quickly organize your collection of
WebExplorer Quicklist entries.
TO INSTALL:
Unzip webxorg.zip into the directory of your choice using the
the -d parameter. This will unzip the program with the proper
directory structure:
..\file_id.diz Program description
..\license.doc License agreement for the program
..\readme.1st Important information to be read first
..\register.txt How to register WebXOrg
..\webxorg.doc Documentation file
..\webxorg.exe The program itself
..\webxorg.ico Icon for the program
..\pages\ Directory to hold built pages
..\icons\ Directory to hold icons used by the program
..\icons\folder.ico Folder icon
..\icons\webx.ico WebExplorer icon
..\pics\ Directory for future use
WebXOrg requires that you have a copy of VROBJ.DLL in your
libpath to run. The easiest place to place it would be in your
..\os2\dll\ directory. If you do not have a copy you can get it
at our WebPage( see end of docs for the address ).
You are now ready to run WebXOrg by double-clicking on the
program.
THE WEBXORG WINDOW:
The WebXorg Window( the actual program ) consists of five main
parts:
Help Menu
WebExplorer INI File Field
Status Field
Web Sites Area
Web Pages Area
HELP MENU:
As stated before, on-line help is still being worked
on. So the only things contained in the Help Menu
is the About and Register options.
ABOUT - Displays a window which tells the
name, version, and copyright information
about the program.
REGISTER - Allows a registered user to enter
their registration code to register the
program.
WEBEXPLORER INI FILE FIELD:
This field displays the current WebExplorer INI file
that you are working with. Which defaults to the main
WebExplorer INI file when the program is first started.
Clicking your right mouse button over this field will
bring up the following menu:
OPEN - Allows you to open any other WebExplorer
INI files you might have.
EXIT - Exits the program.
The menu will also show up to the last five INI files
you have opened.
STATUS FIELD:
This field is used by me for debugging. In the
future I may use it to show certian information that
may be useful to the users.
WEB SITES AREA:
This area displays all of the QuickList entries for
the currently opened INI file. Clicking your right
mouse button over this area will bring up the
following menu:
UPDATE INI FILE - This will rewrite the current
INI file you are editing. This needs to be done
if you want your changes to be saved. These
changes include deleting web sites and/or sorting
the QuickList entries.
SORT - This will sort the QuickList entires. They
can be sorted either ascending or descending. You
must perform an UPDATE INI FILE for this change to
be permanent.
DELETE WEB SITE - This will delete the current
web site from the QuickList. You must perform an
UPDATE INI FILE for this change to be permanent.
EXIT - Exits the program.
WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING

organize your web sites. Clicking you right mouse
button will bring a certain menu depending on what you
are currently on. All options for all of the WebPages
menus are listed below:

ADD NEW WEBPAGE - This will add another WebPage
to be used to store your web sites in. You must
perform a BUILD WEBPAGES for this change to be
permanent.
DELETE WEB SITE - This will delete the WebSite
from a WebPage. You must perform a BUILD

DELETE WEBPAGE - This will delete the WebPage
and ALL WebSites stored within it. You must
perform a BUILD WEBPAGES for this change to be
permanent.
RENAME WEBPAGE - This allows you to rename your
WebPages. You must perform a BUILD WEBPAGES for
this change to be permanent.
SORT - The sort works like this: It will first
sort the WebPages, then within the WebPages it
will sort the WebSites. They can be sorted
either ascending or descending. You must
perform a BUILD WEBPAGES for this changes to be
permanent.
BUILD WEPAGES - This will build the WebPages you
just setup. Also it edits your INI file so that
the next time you open WebExplorer the Main
WebPage will be shown, which will list the Sub
WebPages, which will contain your WebSites. Then
you can click on the Sub WebPage and goto the
that page and select the WebSite you want.
